Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how AI Rap Video at rap-video.ai (the "Service") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information. The Service is operated by an independent individual developer ("we", "us", "our"). You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

Information We Collect

Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored only in hashed form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
Photos you upload: the source photos you submit to generate videos. These may show your face or the faces of other people.
Generation inputs and results: the style, optional rap name, resolution, aspect ratio, and duration you choose, the videos produced, and the status and timing of each generation.
Payment information: payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive and keep records such as your Stripe customer ID, the package bought, amount, currency, and payment status.
Credits: your credit balance and the history of purchases, usage, and refunds.
Communications: emails you send us and the verification or password reset emails we send you.
Technical data: IP address, browser, device, and request logs collected by our hosting provider to run, secure, and debug the Service.
Usage analytics: aggregated page view statistics collected with Plausible, which does not use cookies or build profiles of individual visitors.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

create and secure your account and keep you signed in;
generate your videos and show your history and files to you;
process purchases, grant credits, restore credits for failed generations, and handle refunds;
send verification, password reset, and other service emails;
detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and repeated claims of first-purchase offers;
monitor, debug, and improve the Service; and
comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use your photos or videos to train AI models.

How Your Photos Are Processed

When you start a generation, your photo is sent to our AI video provider through a temporary link that expires after one hour. The provider uses the photo to generate your video and returns the result, which we then store in your account. We do not use your photos for facial recognition or to identify people. AI providers process requests under their own terms and privacy policies, and may run automated safety checks on submitted content.

Service Providers

We share personal information only with providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed for their role:

Cloudflare: hosting, database, file storage, email delivery, and request logs.
Stripe: payment processing and fraud prevention.
Google: sign-in, if you choose to sign in with Google.
SeeAPI, which provides access to Google's Veo video model: video generation from your photo and generation settings.
Plausible: aggregated, cookieless website analytics.
Discord: internal notifications to us about generations, containing your account name, the selected style and settings, and the result.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the Service.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session, and cookies to remember your language and sidebar preferences. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Data Retention

Account data, photos, and videos are kept while your account exists. You can permanently delete individual photos and videos in Settings → Files.
Deleting your account in Settings → Security permanently removes your profile, stored photos and videos, and generation history. Purchase and credit records are kept in de-identified form for accounting, tax, refund, and fraud prevention purposes, together with a one-way hash of your email address used only to prevent repeated claims of first-purchase offers.
Payment records are also kept by Stripe as required for accounting, tax, and fraud prevention under Stripe's own policies.
Request logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period.
Provider copies: AI providers may keep submitted photos and generated videos for a limited time under their own policies.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update your profile in Settings, delete files in Settings → Files, and delete your account in Settings → Security. For any other request, email support@rap-video.ai. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity first. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors, and photos of minors may not be uploaded. If you believe a minor's data has been submitted, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls, and private file storage that is not publicly accessible. Only you and, when needed for support or abuse review, the operator can access your files. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
